Offers - Apple rejected your app? We get it approved

Diagnosis €500 excl. VAT, paid on order · 2 business days · Fixed-price fixes · Businesses only

You submitted your app to the App Store and Apple replied with a message citing a guideline number you don't understand. Don't panic: a rejection is not a ban. The app can be fixed, Apple can be answered and the app resubmitted. We explain what is blocking, take care of the fixes and handle the exchanges with Apple.

This is for you if…

  • •Apple (or Google Play) just rejected your app and you don’t understand why
  • •Your app was built with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, a no-code tool or by a freelancer who is no longer available
  • •You received a “Guideline 4.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality” rejection or another guideline number
  • •You already resubmitted and the app was rejected a second time
  • •You want a clear answer: what needs to change, what it costs, how long it takes

The most common rejection reasons

Every Apple rejection cites a guideline number from its App Review Guidelines. Here are the most common ones, in plain English:

  • Guideline 4.2

    Minimum Functionality

The most common rejection. Apple considers your app “just a website in a box”: it offers nothing more than your site opened in Safari.

  • Guideline 4.3

    Spam

Apple finds your app too similar to apps already available, or you have published the same app several times under different names.

  • Guideline 2.1

    App Completeness

The app crashes, a screen is empty, a link is broken, or Apple could not log in because no demo account was provided.

  • Guideline 5.1.1

    Data Collection and Storage

If users can create an account in your app, they must also be able to delete it from within the app. Permissions (photos, location…) must also be justified.

  • Guideline 4.8

    Login Services

Does your app offer “Sign in with Google”? Apple requires another, privacy-focused login option, in practice often “Sign in with Apple”.

  • Guideline 3.1.1

    In-App Purchase

Do you sell a subscription or digital content in the app? Apple generally requires you to use its own payment system.

  • Guideline 2.3

    Accurate Metadata

The description, screenshots or privacy information on your App Store listing don’t match what the app actually does.

The classic case: “just a website in a box”

Apps built with Lovable, Bolt or Replit, or a website simply wrapped in an app, are often rejected under guideline 4.2. Apple requires the app to offer more than a website. The fixes that usually make the difference:

  • •Notifications that reach the phone, even when the app is closed
  • •Native login: Face ID, fingerprint, “Sign in with Apple”
  • •Offline mode, at least one useful screen when there is no network
  • •Phone features: sharing, camera, location, depending on what your app does
  • •A clear reply to Apple explaining what the app offers on a phone

How it works

  1. Step 1

    You forward us Apple’s message

A screenshot or a copy-paste is enough. In a free 30-minute call, we already tell you what it is about and whether we can help.

  2. Step 2

    Rejection diagnosis (2 days)

We read the rejection, test your app the way Apple would and give you a clear plan: what to fix, what to reply, and the fixed price of the fixes.

  3. Step 3

    We fix your app

You choose the fixes from the table below. We implement them, test on real devices and update your listing if needed.

  4. Step 4

We reply to Apple and resubmit

We write a clear reply to Apple’s App Review team, resubmit the app and follow the exchange until they make a decision.

Included in the diagnosis (€500 excl. VAT)

  • •Apple's message decoded and explained in plain English
  • •Your app tested the way Apple does it, on iPhone, along with your App Store listing
  • •A written action plan: what to fix, in what order, and why
  • •The fixed price and timeline of the fixes, before any commitment
  • •A 30-minute call to walk you through the results

The diagnosis is paid in full on order. If you then hire us for the fixes, the €500 excl. VAT diagnosis is deducted from the final price if you confirm within 30 days.

Apple has the final say: let's be honest

Every app is reviewed by hand by Apple's App Review team. We know its rules and we prepare your app to give it the best chance of approval. But:

  • •The final decision belongs to Apple (and to Google for Google Play). Nobody can guarantee 100% that an app will be approved
  • •We commit to serious work and fixes that match the plan, not to Apple's decision
  • •If Apple asks for a major new feature, we explain it and offer you a separate quote
  • •If your app idea itself goes against Apple's rules, we tell you frankly during the diagnosis

What we need to get started

  • •The rejection message from Apple (or Google), as you received it
  • •Access to your App Store Connect account (Apple’s app management portal; we show you how to invite us)
  • •Your app’s code: a Lovable or Bolt project connected to GitHub, or access to your freelancer’s repository
  • •A test account to log in to your app

Frequently asked questions

Apple rejected my app, what should I do?
An Apple rejection is not final: you fix what Apple objects to, reply in App Store Connect (Apple’s app management portal) and submit the app again. GUIGUI Tech offers a service to get rejected apps approved: a €500 excl. VAT diagnosis in 2 business days to understand the rejection, then fixed-price fixes and the new App Store submission.
What does the Apple 4.2 Minimum Functionality rejection mean?
App Store guideline 4.2 (Minimum Functionality) means Apple considers your app too close to a simple website: it must offer more than a “repackaged website”. It is the most common rejection for apps built with Lovable, Bolt or Replit. GUIGUI Tech fixes it by adding phone-specific features (notifications, Face ID, sharing, camera, offline mode) and writing a reasoned reply to Apple, after a €500 excl. VAT diagnosis.
How much does it cost to get an app rejected by Apple approved?
At GUIGUI Tech, getting an app rejected from the App Store approved starts with a €500 excl. VAT diagnosis (2 business days), paid upfront and deducted from the fixes if you confirm within 30 days. The fixes are then at a fixed price: €500 excl. VAT for the reply to Apple, the App Store listing fix and the resubmission, €500 excl. VAT for the first phone feature and €350 excl. VAT for each additional one. More complex cases are quoted separately.
How long does it take to get a rejected app approved on the App Store?
With GUIGUI Tech, diagnosing an app rejected by Apple takes 2 business days. Simple fixes (reply to Apple, App Store listing) take 1 to 2 days, and each added phone feature 2 to 3 days. Apple’s review time then comes on top, which is outside our control.
Why does Apple reject my Lovable, Bolt or Replit app?
Apple most often rejects Lovable, Bolt or Replit apps under guideline 4.2 (Minimum Functionality), because they look like a website in a box. Other common rejections are 4.8 (Google sign-in without an alternative such as “Sign in with Apple”), 5.1.1 (no account deletion in the app) and 2.1 (a bug or missing demo account). GUIGUI Tech diagnoses these rejections in 2 days for €500 excl. VAT.
Does GUIGUI Tech guarantee that my app will be accepted by Apple?
No, no one can guarantee it: Apple decides, case by case. GUIGUI Tech commits to carrying out the fixes set out in the plan and preparing a serious reply to Apple. Its commitment covers this work, not Apple’s final decision. If Apple requires a significant new feature, GUIGUI Tech explains it to you and offers a separate quote.
My app was rejected for account deletion (5.1.1), what do I need to do?
Under App Store guideline 5.1.1(v), an app that lets users create an account must also let them delete it from within the app. You therefore need to add this option to the app, then resubmit. GUIGUI Tech carries out this fix on a quote basis, since it depends on how your data is stored, after a €500 excl. VAT diagnosis of the rejection.
Why does Apple require “Sign in with Apple” (guideline 4.8)?
App Store guideline 4.8 requires an app that offers sign-in through Google, Facebook or another third-party service to also offer another option that limits the data collected and lets users hide their email, in practice often “Sign in with Apple”. GUIGUI Tech adds “Sign in with Apple” to your app for €500 excl. VAT, in 2 to 3 days.
Can GUIGUI Tech also get an app rejected on Google Play approved?
Yes. GUIGUI Tech’s rejected app service also covers Google Play, and works the same way: a €500 excl. VAT diagnosis in 2 business days, fixed-price fixes, then a new submission. As with Apple, the final decision belongs to Google.
How does payment work to get a rejected app approved?
At GUIGUI Tech, the diagnosis of a rejected app (€500 excl. VAT) is paid in full upfront. The fixes are paid in two installments: 30% upfront, 70% on delivery, and the €500 excl. VAT diagnosis is deducted from them if you confirm within 30 days. Invoices are issued by our company, a French SAS.
